Flagler College, less than a mile from our hotel, was once a hotel itself. The center of the campus is built around the former Ponce de León Hotel, a luxury hotel built by millionaire industrialist Henry Flagler in 1887. The former hotel is now a nationally registered historical building.
As a college, it admits only 2,700 students each year. The Flagler College Saints are part of the NCAA Division II conference.
For prospective students, visit the Flagler College website for information and registration for all-day information sessions, transfer student tours, and daily class observation or group visits.
A Flagler College tour is worth taking! The beautiful campus was visited by presidents, dignitaries, and royalty alike when it was a hotel. With its ornate halls and buildings covered in Gilded Age glamour and beauty, it’s a tour full of stunning sites and historical facts. The hotel has one of the largest collection of Tiffany stained glass windows, with over 79 in the Dining Hall alone.
Tour times vary throughout the year due to student schedules, running from 10AM to 2PM September through April and 10AM to 3PM between May and August. Purchase tickets at the college.
